Portraits
I will be showing an arts and mental health ACE funded project partnering with Leeds Met Uni, Chapelallerton primary school and the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds. I have created a series of seven graphite drawings and house hold paint on paper (1m20cm by 1m50cm) and one oil bar on canvas (2m by 3m). The works portray people’s, from the LS7 area of Leeds, faces expressing emotions that they wanted to express. This idea partly stems from Darwin’s Expression of Emotions in Man and Animals and in the series I focus on Drawing using different materials.
